PalmTree Cottages are also available for long term winter lets between September and May of at least two months normally, though we will do our best to accommodate your particular needs. Please enquire about late deals that may be available.
Well behaved pets are very welcome and all that we ask is that there is as trace of them having been there as possible when you leave as following clients may have allergies. No smoking is permitted inside the cottages or even outside with any doors and windows open. Please see the winter Terms and Conditions for full details.

No. 1 is 70 sq meters in size and has a large salon in an open plan living style. This consists firstly of modern kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Then we have the sitting area and dining area all with quality fittings and furniture, all the great WiFi everywhere. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, which have twin beds that can be joined to make super-king-size beds. Each bedroom has a simple wardrobe and shelves. There is also a modern shower room on the first floor.
The cottage was built in 1875 and has a country rustic feel about it with exposed stone walls and oak beams and a lovely Charentaise fireplace housing a gorgeous log burner. However, the cottage has been decorated to modern taste and fitted out with quality furnishings. Large windows give views over the gardens and french countryside beyond.
No.2 is 60 sq meters in size and is a charming cottage recently converted from a Charentaise barn located next to the palm tree. Retaining many of its original features it has been updated with an open-plan salon with kitchen, dining and sitting areas all with great WiFi throughout. There is also a bright and fresh shower/toilet/utility room on the ground floor. Gas cooker, microwave, large fridge-freezer and washing machine make up the modern facilities.
A modern spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine floor where two bedrooms are located. One of the bedrooms is 'open-plan' on the mezzanine with large windows and views over the countryside. The other bedroom is small but contains full size bunk beds. The windows give lovely views over the gardens and countryside of SW France.
Situated on the edge of a tranquil hamlet in the heart of the vineyards and farmers fields of southwest France both cottages are perfect for a longer term winter let or romantic getaway. Both cottages sleep 4 so the children can join you and visitors can also stay with you. We just ask that you let us know who's staying in case of emergency.
Both cottages are fitted with washing machines and tumble driers as well as all the comforts of home. This includes 32" flat screen TVs showing all the UK free to air channels. There is also excellent WiFi throughout. No.1 has a log burner and no 2 has an electric log burner effect focal point fire. Both cottages have lamps and rugs as well as comfortable seating for cosy winter nights. Plus our very comfortable beds in well insulated buildings to keep you snug.
We hope you like peace and quiet as you won't hear anything other than wildlife at night and won't see anything other than stars as the mayor turns off all the street lights at 11pm.
Clients for both cottages share their own secure off street car park. We also have a large grassy area and an orchard for outdoor activities, eating area options (weather permitting) and a 100 meter field for throwing a ball for the dog.
We are an ideal base for exploring on foot, bike (we have some you can borrow) and by car. So you can be as active or restful as you like.

Taxe de Sejour (local tourist tax): currently 80 centimes per adult per night. You pay this by cash on arrival and is collected each month. We are obliged to show this as a separate item and pass it directly online to the local tax authorities. We can show payment if required.
Electricity: Each cottage has its own usage monitor which is read at the start of your stay and then at appropriate periods. We pass on the exact usage which is charged by DirectEnergie at 15 centimes per Kw. Usage is usually around €50 per month (€12.50 per week) but we charge that amount up front and refund the difference at the end of your stay along with the security deposit. We make no profit on your electricity usage.
Log burner wood: Each cottage has a log burner and if you wish us to order some logs for you then they cost €66 per stere (1m3). Usage is normally around 1 stere per month or so and we normally arrange a stere for the first month of your stay. We will help you arrange further wood during your first month but you will pay the supplier direct. We ask you to pay for this first month as an up front cost.
The rental price is shown in pounds sterling, some the extras are priced in euros. If clients wish to pay rental in euros then the applicable exchange rate will be applied. Normally rental is paid by the client direct into our UK bank account but other arrangements are possible including PayPal and french bank account cheque (not UK cheques). See Ts&Cs for full details.
